Field report: COOL*SAFE backpack

2018: A wonderful, seemingly endless summer. What was simply beautiful for most people became a daily challenge for us.

Our son Ben is 6 years old and has a bee venom allergy. He must always carry an adrenaline pen with him. The problem is that the adrenaline must not be allowed to get warmer than 24 degrees. And that’s exactly what became a problem for us this summer in our everyday life on trips and whenever we did something outdoors. Because at outside temperatures of 30 degrees, the pen warms up quickly, despite the insulating bag we used to use.

The Cool Safe backpack was our solution. We put the pen in the pre-installed insulated protection pouch and put a Cool Pad in the lower compartment of the backpack. Normally there are more cool packs here to cool down medicine. But the adrenaline must not be cooled down too much, so we used only 1 cool pad.

The backpack itself is well made, looks great and fits perfectly on children’s and adults’ backs. The upper compartment holds all the things you need on trips, like a water bottle, wallet etc.

The rucksack was always with us from the first day on – on all trips and of course on holiday. And so we and especially Ben could enjoy the rest of the summer in a very relaxed way.
